PCM’s Jamie Walker Receives CACM Vision Award
for Leadership in Creative Problem Solving

LAKE FOREST, Calif., July 6, 2004 — Professional Community Management (PCM), one of the nation’s largest companies providing community management services to homeowner associations (HOAs), announced today that general manager (agent for the board of directors Marina Pacifica HOA) Jamie Walker has been honored by California Association of Community Managers Inc. (CACM) with a prestigious Vision Award for his leadership in problem solving. Walker received the Leadership Award – Problem Solving Level II after being nominated for efforts that resulted in saving several hundreds of thousands of dollars for Marina Pacifica, a waterfront high-rise condominium project in the Long Beach Harbor Downtown Association.

"The Vision Awards recognize those managers who meet and exceed the numerous everyday challenges and demands of the association management field,” said Karen Conlon, president, CACM. “Community association management is one of the fastest-growing industries in California, both in terms of the number of communities under management as well as the volume and complexity of issues involved. As a result, association managers must become as knowledgeable and professional as possible in order to properly serve the communities they represent."
“Working together with maintenance, office staff and vendors, Walker was able to develop a repair plan to overcome a potentially dangerous gas leak,” said Russ Disbro, CEO, PCM. “With his creative problem solving abilities, he brought homeowners peace of mind and substantial savings.”

The CACM Vision Awards Program was established to recognize the "best of the best" in the community association management industry for their outstanding achievements. The Vision Awards showcase the highest level of talent in the industry. Winning an award or being a nominee confers prestige on the individual and the companies and organizations they represent - illustrating high standards of management, certification, training and commitment to excellence within these companies and organizations.

CACM is the only organization in California whose membership is comprised entirely of community association managers and association practitioners. Its emphasis is on education, training and heightened professionalism of community association managers. CACM offers an educational program which leads to the designation, Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®). In addition, the organization plays an active role in Sacramento where new legislation and regulations are changing the way community association managers do business. The organization is committed to helping community association managers meet the challenges of the industry and aid them in maintaining an awareness of each development impacting the industry.

Originally from Rocky River, Ohio, Walker (age 60 years) is a resident of San Clemente, Calif. and has greater than 20 years of experience in the property management industry.
