Professional Community Management (PCM)
honored by
California Association of Community Managers at 2005 Vision Awards
LAKE FOREST, Calif., August 1, 2005— Professional Community Management (PCM) is pleased to announce that it was honored with three Vision Awards by the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). The honors took place on Thursday, July 28, at an industry conference event held at the Disneyland Hotel.
The CACM Vision Awards Dinner showcases the highest level of talent in the community management industry. This was the 14th annual Vision Awards Dinner and was attended by more than 1,000 community management professionals.
PCM’s award recipients, Rashid Kassir, Pamela Bashline and Trudy Bigelow, are community managers who were selected based on their achievements with the communities they serve.
“The Vision Awards are the most prestigious in the community management industry,” said Debbie Evans, Chief Operating Officer of PCM. “We are very proud to be honored because these awards recognize those that strive for excellency in ethical standards and best practices in the field.”
Rashid Kassir manages communities in Seal Beach, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo and Aliso Viejo. He was honored for his efforts in a Seal Beach community, which he brought from disrepair into excellent condition. Through the process, he also was able to turn an adversarial relationship between the owners and the association into one of mutual cooperation and gratitude. Kassir oversaw work on the property smoothly and effectively, resulting in a $50,000 increase in unit values.
Pam Bashline was honored for executing a highly successful million-dollar overhaul of a Long Beach community, Bixby Village, which resulted in increased property values. Overcoming the challenges of a historically rainy season in 2004-2005, the project included a roof replacement, wood repairs, repainting, asphalt repair and landscaping. Bashline also manages communities in Aliso Viejo, Yorba Linda, Dana Point and Rancho Santa Margarita.
The third honoree, Community Services Manager Trudy Bigelow, was honored for developing a televised program and marketing video that educates potential and existing residents, and real estate agents about the Leisure World community she serves. The program aired on the community’s television station and reached 18,000 viewers. It was so well received that it is now sold to real estate professionals and used with prospective tenants.
