THIRD LAGUNA HILLS MUTUAL SPONSORS LEGISLATION

The Board of Directors of Third Laguna Hills Mutual voted today in favor of sponsoring legislation, carried by State Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, that would make it easier for the mutual and its members to address both long range planning and unit upgrade issues that may require a condominium plan change.

The mutual views the proposed legislation as a step in the right direction to ease the obsolescence and aging infrastructure of the community as well as respond to any rebuilding needs, such as that caused by a fire, by reducing the member approval requirement from 100% to 51%to change a condominium plan.

The bill, in a draft form, is expected to be assigned a bill number sometime after February 24, 2006.
