Professional Community Management of California, Inc. (PCM) honored by
California Association of Community Managers at 2006 Vision Awards

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2006) –Professional Community Management of California, Inc. (PCM), one of the nation’s largest community managers of master-planned, family-orientated and active adult communities, is pleased to announce that it was honored with three Vision Awards by the California Association of Community Managers. The association is a trade organization for real estate property managers managing common interest developments, better known as homeowner associations. The company received the awards at the industry conference located at the Disneyland Hotel on July 27.

The Vision Awards dinner honors the highest level of talent in the community management industry. PCM’s award recipients were General Manager Ed Vitrano, Senior Manager Brenda Zizzo and General Manger Tim Peckman. Each of the recipients was recognized for his or her individual outstanding efforts to the community.

“We are proud to be honored with these Vision Awards,” said Debbie Evans, chief operating officer at PCM. “At PCM, we strive to create a friendly and positive environment and to provide exceptional service with our certified managers at each community.”

Vitrano was honored with the award for Excellence in Services. With two decades of experience in community management, Vitrano exhibits the highest level of professionalism in the industry. He is a founding member and host for Clubs and Lakes Associations of Northern California, a founding member and director for Community Managers International Association and association faculty member. In 2001, Vitrano founded a data email messaging program, allowing more than 200 managers throughout the nation to exchange information and receive feedback on community issues with industry peers.

Zizzo was honored with the award for Creative Solutions in Problem Solving. Zizzo was recently faced with a homeowners association that did not have adequate funding for the purchase and planting of 150 trees that were much needed in that community. She was able to find an organization to donate the trees and gathered homeowners and volunteers to participate in the landscaping and planting of the trees. Zizzo found a solution that not only benefited the community, but also created camaraderie among the homeowners working together.

Peckham was honored with the award for Leadership in Creative Solutions for Problem Solving. He entered a contentious community with the goal of improving communication and interaction between the board of directors, builders, homeowners and committees. By developing relationships and creating a more informative newsletter and website, he was able to get the community to work together and make efficient decisions with substantial improvements. The new sense of community resulted in more than $21,000 of donations, utility savings of nearly $18,000 and volunteer activities that saved an additional $10,000.

Additional PCM staff members that were nominated for the Vision Awards include Joseph Winkler for Physical Management and Creative Solutions for Problem Solving, Stephan Lang for Communications Management and Kate Harris for Physical Management.
