community recreation center, The Commons

Woodbury is an award-winning, master-planned community of the
Irvine Community Development Company

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (Aug. 31, 2006) –Professional Community Management of California, Inc., one of the nation’s largest community managers of master-planned, family-oriented and active adult communities, celebrates the grand opening of The Commons. The Commons is the new resort-style, community recreation center in the Irvine Community Development Company’s master-planned community Woodbury.

The Commons will serve as the heart of Woodbury’s social environment. The nine-acre private facility’s amenities includes a community building, a lagoon pool, two junior Olympic pools, a hot tub, gas barbeques, an outdoor fireplace, a children’s water-play area with wading pool, tennis courts, a basketball court and a sand volleyball court.

The recreation center will be managed by PCM’s General Manager Kevin Chudy and a hired special event director. PCM, with the support of Woodbury’s homeowners association, will organize quarterly and holiday events. In addition to these events, PCM intends to offer various activities, which may include tennis and swimming lessons, karate, yoga, cooking classes and community clubs. PCM also participates in a recreation sharing committee of employees, where PCM can acquire the latest trends in recreation activities.

The Commons at Woodbury is such a modern and warm area for families to gather while feeling like they are in a resort style community,” said Donny Disbro, vice president of business development and marketing for PCM. “Our job in the long run is to service the facility with hospitality and event programs."

The Commons is celebrating its grand opening with an open house on Sept. 2, presented by ICDC. The open house will provide food and entertainment for the whole family. For information on the event, please contact the Homefinding Center at (888) 820-0721.
