South County Outreach was founded in 1989 as a nonprofit, non sectarian organization that provides comprehensive services to families and seniors. SCO provides homeless prevention services to more than 650 families per month. Additionally, at any given time, there are approximately 22 adults and 30 children residing in our transitional housing units.

The founder, Ray Havert, is an inspiration to all that know him. With an active Board of Directors and more than 150 volunteers, SCO has served thousands South Orange County families over the years.

The Salvation Army is an international organization. Emergency relief, schools, health clinics for the poor and counseling are but a few of the services provided to people around the world. We are able to reach out to many others because of your gifts. In Southern California, The Salvation Army's services include a home for unwed mothers, a missing persons bureau, a residence for destitute AIDS victims, prison visitations, food pantries, assisted living homes and English as a second language classes.
